Kettleborough Cider House creates small-batch hard cider using 100% hand-selected Hudson Valley apples.

All the apples used in Kettleborough Hard Cider come from trees on Dressel Farms. In addition to over 20 varieties of typical “dessert” apples like Red Delicious, McIntosh, and Honeycrisp, Kettleborough has also planted 22 varieties specifically for use in hard cider.

Due to the growing popularity of hard cider, many producers are seeking out the bittersweet and bittersharp apples favored by the Founding Fathers. Kettleborough Cider House follows this trend and honors the historical significance of these apples in its hard cider production.

Kettleborough Cider House is one of the few cideries in the region that has planted and harvested these ancient apples. With seventeen European varieties, such as Somerset Red Streak, and five heirloom American varieties, like Esopus Spitzenburg, they are at the forefront of reviving the unique, complex, and delicious beverage enjoyed by our ancestors.

Kettleborough Cider House Ciders:

SILVER MEDAL WINNER- 2013 Hudson Valley Wine Competition Cider Category
Our flagship cider. Dry Cider departs from sweeter, “run-of-the-mill” hard ciders that have always dominated the market. Our Dry Cider is made from a blend of Northern Spy and Granny Smith apples to create a light acidity and fresh green apple flavor. Think “Dry Apple Prosecco.” It pairs well with many foods, especially white meats, cheeses, fruits, and spice-forward dishes.

Apple Mimosa
This is a crowd favorite! Mix equal parts Kettleborough Dry Cider and Dressel Farms sweet apple cider in a glass. Adjust the ratio to taste. Serve immediately.

“Honey Honey”
A semi-dry cider made from a hand-sorted blend of apples and sweetened with 100% Honeycrisp juice infused with Pure New York State Honey. The light sweetness is appropriately balanced with acidity to keep the cider crisp, light, and refreshing.

Lightly Hopped Cider!
This cider brings out the wonderful floral aromas and citric flavors of the Cascade Hop without overpowering the bright fruitiness of the cider. Perfectly balanced and refreshingly crisp, it’s a cider that will appeal to IPA lovers and casual drinkers alike!

Huguenot Cider
Their first cider was created entirely from true hard cider apple varieties. More than 20 heirloom English, French, and American apple varieties come together in this rustic blend. Huguenot Cider enjoys a long, slow fermentation employing only natural wild yeast. This cider is non-sparkling, unfiltered, hand-bottled, and unlike anything else. The tannic old-world fruit imparts a complex flavor and body that is impossible to accomplish with modern “dessert” apples. This is what cider is supposed to be!
