Shawangunk Wine Trail is home to 15 wineries nestled between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Hudson River, just 60 miles north of NYC.
The eighty-mile-long Shawangunk Wine Trail, a group of fifteen diverse wineries, all striving to individually produce world class wines and collectively introduce them to locals and visitors alike in the Hudson River Region.
The wineries along the Trail are as diverse as the wines themselves: Brand new facilities and refurbished barns upwards of 100 years old; production of over 100,000 cases of wine and production of less than 2,000 cases; peace and quiet at some; live music and special events at others; and some spectacular vistas that make you say, “Wow!” What visitors will find in common at all of the wineries is a friendly welcome and a sincere desire to provide an enjoyable tasting experience of discovering our delicious Hudson River Region wines. Vinifera, blends, sparkling, French-American and fruit wines, ranging from bone dry to dessert sweet; they’re all here. Hard ciders, distilled spirits, and even mead can be found on the Trail, too. Tasting on the Shawangunk Wine Trail is a palate-pleasing experience for everyone.
