Free-range beef and grass-fed beef are somewhat similar. Free-range beef comes from animals who ate grass and lived on a range and are allowed to roam freely on the land designated for their grazing.

Grass-fed means the cattle was allowed to maintain a natural diet by roaming freely and eating fresh grass. They are not given any grains or anything that wouldn’t occur in a natural diet. Grass-fed beef is known to be leaner, healthier, and having a richer flavor.

Grass fed beef is high in B vitamins and has been found to be higher in vitamins A, E, and other antioxidants compared to grain fed beef. Grass-fed beef has significantly lower levels of saturated fat compared to grain-fed beef.
