La Salle Institute is an independent, Catholic college preparatory school serving young men and women in grades six through twelve. Its mission is to educate students in the Lasallian tradition by providing a loving, caring, supportive environment, encouraging them to realize their whole potential and become moral, responsible, and productive members of their communities.
La Salle Institute Middle School
The Middle School program at La Salle Institute offers a “school within a school” experience, allowing younger students to receive personalized attention while still learning from their older peers. Students in the Middle School program at La Salle benefit from the structure and discipline that is part of a Lasallian education, with a high degree of caring and concern blended in. They are offered more direction, more guidance and more support as they build the habits they need to propel them into high school and in life.
High School
student-centered academics are at the core of the La Salle experience. Individualized academic instruction in a holistic environment is paramount to the student journey. Students participate in varied classroom instruction, using technology in new and creative ways. Students are taught to become critical thinkers and to attain an in-depth understanding of all material being presented. To encourage academic excellence, a diverse selection of honors and advanced placement classes are available. Juniors and Seniors also have the opportunity to enroll in courses at Hudson Valley Community College where they can earn college credit while still in high school. VCC is located adjacent to the campus, easily accessible to students.
During the school year, La Salle Institute offers the opportunity for prospective students to visit for a regular school day and experience a day as a La Salle Cadet with a current student! We will provide lunch in our cafeteria and all of the materials that you will need throughout the day. Parents are welcome to meet with members of the admissions team as well as the scholarship and tuition office.
