Apple Hill Farm is a charming u-pick apple and pumpkin farm in New Paltz, New York. The farm features a beautifully restored barn from the 1800s filled with various homegrown fruits for sale. Additionally, visitors can explore a store offering unique gifts and decorative items perfect for the holiday season. The farm hosts various regularly scheduled special events and attractions throughout the year, including hayrides, fire engine rides, and picnic facilities.
As the season opens, guests are welcome to experience the bounty of local produce, including freshly picked sweet corn, tomatoes, and early McIntosh apples. By September, the farm transitions to its fall apple varieties. In addition to the u-pick apples available after Labor Day through October 31, visitors will always find a selection of McIntosh, Macoun, Mutsu, Red and Golden Delicious, Cortland, and Empire varieties in their farmstand.
Guests can enjoy a hayride through the picturesque landscape, refreshing fresh-pressed apple cider, and the farm’s famous mulled apple cider donuts.

Family Fun At Apple Hill Farm
Hayrides:
Hayrides begin on September 19th, weather permitting, and continue until Saturday, October 31st at 4:00 PM when they close for the season. (Weekends Only) There is no charge for the hayrides. The hayride begins at the end of September and lasts until October 31st. Many visitors have enjoyed the hayride to the top of Apple Hill Farm, including their four-legged friends (dogs are welcome but must be on a leash). At the top, guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains.
Fire Truck Rides:
There are two fire trucks for visitors to choose from. One is stationary at the stand itself, providing amusement and a great photo opportunity for all. Occasionally, brides and grooms stop by, but many families take yearly photos. The fire truck rides up into the orchard usually begin around noon. In October, on weekends only, there is a fire truck ride up to the pick-your-own area in addition to the hayride. Children of all ages love to climb up into the back of the truck or ride in the front and blow the siren.
Picnicking:
Tables are available for picnicking, or visitors can bring a blanket to relax and enjoy the views.
