Eighth Belle bags and products are handmade in a cozy solar-powered studio between the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. The company uses retired sails from working boats, ensuring that every piece is built to last while minimizing environmental impact. The creator, Korina Brewer, learned her skills from working in leather studios, sail lofts, and sailboats.

These sails come from the Eastern Seaboard and across the Great Lakes. They’re collected, cut, cleaned, and transformed into unique repurposed sailcloth bags. Since the sails are lightweight, strong, and water-resistant, they make for super durable and versatile items long after they’ve served their time on a boat.

The collection is inspired by life on the water, maritime traditions, and the adventures these sails experienced in their previous lives. Made with naturally derived materials like vegetable-tanned leather and plant-dyed organic cotton, these bags are perfect for boating adventures and seaside living. Every item is crafted with care and a love for the planet in that little studio in the Catskills.
