About Cindy
Cindy is an accomplished Costume Designer and Tailor with a rich history in the industry. Her portfolio includes crafting costumes for numerous Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Her journey in costume design for Dance and Theater began in 1995, and she has been a driving force in the industry ever since.
Cindy’s educational background is equally impressive. She earned her BA in Theater from SUNY New Paltz and an MFA in Costume Design from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts. Her expertise and dedication have been recognized through her work as a Tailor on Law and Order: SVU and various other shows.
In 2014, Cindy embarked on a new venture, establishing Root by Cindy. This platform has allowed her to create a diverse range of comfortable clothing tailored for individuals from all walks of life, including artists, athletes, craftspeople, gardeners, healers, mothers, chronic pain patients, and those with unique body types.
