Helen graduated from Cooper Union in NYC with a BFA in sculpture. She then studied jewelry and ceramics at the State University of New York in New Paltz, NY.
She has been a studio artist her entire adult life and has earned a living from the sale of her jewelry and artwork. Studio life has been a wonderful balancing act between working on her enamel Jewelry and her fine artwork, which includes figurative sculpture (clay and bronze), as well as wall collages (handmade paper and cast paper), which are a mixture of flat and three-dimensional work. All of her work is involved in an exploration of timing, form, and space.
