Michael Gregorio started making furniture in a one car garage at age 13, with a few hand tools, determination and pure instinct, Michael began his career in the art of woodworking. He made various pieces of furniture for family and friends, and at age 16, he was hired part time in a local cabinetmaking shop. There, he apprenticed with a master furniture maker from France.
In college he studied business and art, and at 23, started a custom woodworking business with a friend. In this new venture, he had the freedom to hone his skills at designing, building and finishing fine furniture. After 15 years, he broke off on his own to expand into antique restoration and studio furniture making.

His original studio furniture has been published in Fine Woodworking Magazine’s “Design Book Four” and “Design Book Six”, and Lark Publication’s “500 Tables” book. His piece “Venus” was a 2007 Niche Award Finalist. His depth of experience as a furniture maker and designer make him quite unique as a restorer. He is highly competent to handle all phases of repair and restoration, and with his attention to detail, he can reproduce any piece of furniture in any style with great accuracy. He is frequently called upon by other restoration shops for reproduction, restoration, and custom projects.
