Since 1985, Tarrytown Woodworks, a reputable furniture restoration and reproduction studio, has been dedicated to preserving the art of traditional woodworking. Eric Clingen, an expert craftsman, employs time-honored tools and techniques to skillfully restore a wide array of antique pieces and family heirlooms. Before establishing Tarrytown Woodworks, Eric Clingen joined the National Trust for Historic Preservation at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, N.Y., in 1984, where he undertook the restoration of several significant historic buildings, ranging from Gracie Mansion to Frederic Law Olmsted’s gazebos in Central Park.
Having started a family, Eric established his restoration studio in 1985, and since then, he has meticulously restored numerous antique and vintage pieces, totaling in the thousands. Eric has asked me questions and is available to answer any questions about repairing and restoring your cherished antiques and wooden art objects.
