Sal, the founder of Woodland Creations, has been passionate about woodworking since he was 15. He started small by making small wooden items, and over time, he progressed to creating more complex pieces like indoor/outdoor furniture and timber framing. His craftsmanship is awe-inspiring; you can see some of his work displayed in the shop.

In 1995, Sal stumbled upon an article in one of his woodworking magazines that taught him how to carve a bear using a chainsaw. Since he had always been fascinated by chainsaw carvings and had extensive experience operating chainsaws, he decided to give it a try. From that moment on, he was hooked. Sal has been creating beautiful chainsaw carvings ever since.

What makes Woodland Creations unique is that all of the wood Sal uses for carving comes from tree services. No trees are cut solely to create a carving. This is a great way to recycle wood that would most likely be dumped and left to rot.
