Apple Hill Farm is a u-pick apple and pumpkin farm located in New Paltz, NY. The farm has an 1800’s barn full of their fruit for sale and a store that offers unique gifts and decorative items for the holidays. There are regularly scheduled special events and attractions in season as well as hayrides, fire engine rides, and facilities for picnicking.
“Visit our restored 1859 barn full of homegrown quality fruit. We open for the season with local sweet corn that’s picked fresh daily, tomatoes and early Mcintosh apples.
By September we begin picking our fall varieties of apples. Besides our pick-your-own varieties, available after Labor Day weekend through October 31, we always have McIntosh, Macoun, Mutsu, Red and Golden Delicious, Cortland and Empire in our farmstand
Enjoy a hayride, come and get fresh pressed apple cider and our famous mulled apple cider donuts.”
Family Fun At Apple Hill Farm
Hayrides:
Hayrides Begin September19th weather permitting, until Saturday 10/31 at 4:00 when we close for the season. (Weekends Only) No charge.
Our hayride begins by the end of September and continues until Saturday 10/31. Many have enjoyed our hayride to the top of Apple Hill Farm, even our four legged friends (dogs may visit but must be on a leash). Once you are at the top you can see spectacular views of both the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains.
The Pumpkin Patch:
There will be no Pick your own pumpkins available in the field this year due to the deer population.
Fire Truck Rides:
We have two fire trucks to choose from. One is stationary at the stand itself for the amusement and a great photo op for all. We have even had an occasional Bride and Groom stop by, but many take a yearly family photo. The firetruck rides up into the orchard usually begin at noon time.
In October on weekends only we have a fire truck ride up to our Pick-Your-Own besides our hayride. Children of all ages love to climb up into the back of the truck or ride in the front and blow the siren.
Picnicking:
Tables are available for a picnic or many enjoy bringing a blanket to relax and enjoy the views.
