William Popham’s original land lease required the vestry and wardens of St. James the Less to pay a silver dime to a Popham descendant whenever requested. Followed at 11:30 by a forum by Jim Boulden, Popham descendent, sharing his recent research on the Popham and Morris family history with the slave trade in Barbados, with special attention given to the enslaved men, women and children who worked on their estates.
