Maplebrook School is a coeducational boarding and day school for students with learning differences and/or attention deficit disorder (ADD). Founded in 1945 by parents seeking better educational opportunities for their children, the school has grown to be one of the most prominent schools of its kind.
Maplebrook School is more than strong academics dedicated to the creation and the nurturing of academic, artistic and athletic skills; but also a school devoted to the growth and the guidance of the character of each of our students. Experience has proven that character values such as trust, honesty, respect, citizenship, caring, fairness, faith, and responsibility contribute immensely to the future success of our students and are the backbone of our goal to “Educate the Heart”. The Responsibility Increases Self Esteem (RISE) program provides the structure and support to make this possible.
Located in rural Amenia, New York, 90 miles north of New York City, Maplebrook School allows a safe environment with breathtaking views of the Berkshire Mountains. The school is a not-for-profit corporation governed by a Board of Trustees who inspire the mission of Maplebrook; to provide quality academic programs for the student who is considered a slow learner and/or may exhibit learning differences.
