The Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is dedicated to the protection and responsible recreational use of the New York Forest Preserve, parks, and other wild lands and waters. The Chapter is a wholly volunteer organization committed to public service and stewardship. It seeks to use a balanced approach to outdoor recreation, advocacy, environmental education, and natural resource conservation.
Mid Hudson Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club is the local chapter of the nearly 30,000 member ADK organization. ADK members enjoy hiking, canoeing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, camping, backpacking, biking, mountaineering, snowshoeing, and other “muscle-powered” outdoor activities. And they’re committed to protecting the places they play in, volunteering countless hours to advance ADK’s mission of protecting natural resources and promoting responsible recreation. Mid Hudson Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club activities take place primarily in the Hudson Valley region. See our calendar for upcoming activities.
Non-members are welcome to participate in a few of our day outings to check us out before joining. Your membership supports local and statewide outdoor recreation and helps protect the natural and wild places that we love and need.
