Barn At Full Moon Farm History

The life of the Barn On Full Moon Farm began in 1790 when Peter Jaycox built this Hudson Valley Barn in a fertile valley to fulfill the basic needs of his clan. Facing a majestic mountain range encircled by Indigenous trees, a 17-acre parcel remains from the original 300-acre farm. With these native materials, Peter Jaycox and his sons hewed their barn 30 feet wide by 40 feet long. Perhaps they knew how delicious the acoustics were in the hayloft, but maybe that was a surprise hidden by the barn itself, to be discovered much later by the present owners, the 5th family in over 200 years to own this property.
