Torne Valley Vineyards, established in 2009, is the first fully operational winery in Rockland County, New York. Nestled on an enchanting 19th-century country estate, the property features a meticulously restored Victorian mansion, offering visitors a truly nostalgic experience. Beginning with the iconic stone gate that welcomes guests to explore the beautifully landscaped grounds, to the breathtaking views of the Ramapo River, and the timeless elegance of the interior event space, one can’t help but feel transported to another era, all just 40 miles outside of New York City.

In addition to functioning as a vineyard, they specialize in comprehensive event planning and catering, accommodating events of any size. Despite the mansion’s 1800s architecture, it is outfitted with a range of modern amenities typical of contemporary venues, including air conditioning, valet service, a bridal suite, and more, while preserving its historic charm, from the slate roof to the grand ballroom.

A few wine selections from Torne Valley Vineyards

  • Sweet Summertime (Semi-Sweet) – Made from a well balanced blend of Cayuga, Vidal Blanc and Vignoles grape varietals, this unassuming vineyard favorite has sweet notes of succulent peaches and citrus.
  • Chardonnay (Dry) – Maintaining its pedigree as America’s favorite wine and the world’s most widely planted grape, ours offers a classic golden color, with vibrant overtones of melon, grass and vanilla.
  • Kimmie’s Crush (Semi-Dry) – Classic Bordeaux style with a touch of Catawba, this unique marriage of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon boasts such rich, fruit characteristics as plum, cherry, black and blueberries. Warm spice, vanilla, tobacco and leather aromas conspire to offer the nose and palate a beautifully integrated, medium-bodied wine.
  • Cabernet Franc (Dry) – Inviting and aromatic, its gorgeous rich color is equaled only by the subtle harmony of raspberry, tobacco and violet notes.
