The B&B consists of three individually decorated rooms with distinctive charm. Angel’s Bed and Breakfast offers an intimate setting, with all rooms on the second floor, a charming café on the first level, and the innkeeper’s quarters on the third level. The focus here is on the exquisite bedding designs, ranging from contemporary styles with a touch of antique elegance.

This luxurious private oasis is centrally located in downtown Albany, within walking distance of The Capital, The Egg, The State Museum, and various theaters. Enriched with history, this rehabilitated building, initially designed for John Stafford, remains one of the few physical remnants from the 19th century.

Once standing amidst what was known as Hardware Row, it exudes an urban sophistication that echoed the opulence of the era, particularly evident in the architecture of the Stafford House. Its historical significance is further intensified by its association with Governor Joseph Yates, who leased the Stafford House in 1822 as his official residence. The building’s architectural style and subsequent modifications provide insights into the work of the renowned architect Philip Hooker. During Governor Yates’s tenure, the Stafford House hosted some of the most prominent figures of Upstate New York, further cementing its significance in the region’s history.
