The Hudson Valley Cabin is a romantic, secluded 480-square-foot retreat on a privately owned 3.5-acre lake. It is part of a lovely 85-acre parcel of land that has been family-owned for many years and has welcomed guests since 2002. The cabin is conveniently located near numerous historic Dutchess County towns and Mid-Hudson Valley attractions and events.

The cabin is a romantic hideaway nestled in the woods. It offers guests a log cabin overlooking a private lake. Guests can enjoy the serene surroundings of the beautiful countryside, close to historic towns like Rhinebeck, Millbrook, Hyde Park, Red Hook, and Pine Plains, NY. The nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, ensuring total privacy for guests in this enchanting setting.

Visitors can enjoy their private lake throughout the seasons, engaging in activities such as fishing, swimming, rowing, and playing in the water with inflatable boats. During winter, they can relax in hammocks and hanging chairs or listen to the ice crack. The lake is home to fish, frogs, ducks, geese, herons, deer, and turkeys, allowing guests to connect with nature. In season, a fresh herb garden is available for guests’ use.

The lake is teeming with largemouth bass, and many guests have spent hours fishing from the dock or rowboat. Exploring the surrounding woods is another popular activity. Favorite spots include a 40-foot gorge, a section of moss-covered boulders known as the “green rocks,” and various stone walls. A trail map and signs are provided to aid their explorations, and benches are scattered along the trails for resting.

Thanks to the outdoor lighting, outdoor cooking and dining can be enjoyed anytime, day or night. Picnic tables are available on the side of the cabin and in the dock area, offering a choice of dining. Alternatively, guests may dine indoors at the table before the picture window, taking in the scenic views.
