Urban Cowboy Mountain Lodge | A Catskills Boutique Hotel

Urban Cowboy Mountain Lodge is a boutique hotel in the Big Indian Wilderness, nestled on 68 acres in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, the 28 room hotel is just 2.5 hours from New York City, but truly a world away. Enjoy a forest bath in the soaking tubs, eat and drink at the award-winning Public House; steam in the Estonian sauna, plunge in the swimming hole, or just relax by the roaring fire and do nothing at all, but get lost in the stars.

Urban Cowboy Lodging:

Alpine
Alpine is located on the hill behind The Lodge. Its 10 suites are spread across three floors, each featuring our signature, free-standing clawfoot tub in front of a large picture window overlooking the mountain and forest views.

Walden
Walden is home to 10 cabin-style guest rooms. These rooms vary in size, from the standard Walden King to our Walden Forest Bathing Suites which feature an outdoor Japanese cedar soaking tub. Each room on our property offers a private deck overlooking the mountains or woods.

The Cabin
Quite literally, your cabin in the woods. The Cabin is one of two standalone units on property, this oversized suite has everything you need for a weekend away. 600 sq feet of space with an open layout including a copper clawfoot tub for two, rain shower, leather loveseat for lounging with cocktails or coffee and table for dining or working, if you must. Amenities include Wright king mattress, Pendleton robes and blankets, custom hand-printed wallpaper and minibar. Our best amenity is Mother Nature and a chance to truly disconnect– there’s no cell service up here, but all rooms include complimentary wifi.

The Chalet
The Chalet is our largest suite and arguably the most spectacular! Wood-paneled cathedral ceilings carry hints of alpine charm throughout the aptly named space and with large picture windows in every room. This oversized one bedroom suite has two lounging areas, a gas fireplace, a full kitchen, breakfast nook and private deck with forest views. Amenities include Wright king mattress, Pendleton robes and blankets, walk-in shower, pull out queen sized couch, custom hand-printed wallpaper and minibar. Our best amenity is Mother Nature and a chance to truly disconnect– there’s no cell service up here, but all rooms include complimentary wifi.

The Lodge Suite
Located on the second floor of our main building, The Lodge Suite is a full six-bedroom accommodation option perfect for group stays of up to 12 people. Located conveniently in the same building as our restaurant and bar, it offers some of the best views on property. The Lodge Suite features six bedrooms (including the master Penthouse Suite), a private furnished deck, a full living area with a wet bar overlooking the mountains, fireplace, dining space with cathedral ceilings, and four full baths.
