Hudson River Performing Arts Center offers pre-professional and recreational level performing arts lessons for youth and adults. Programs are designed to provide students with a solid foundation of technique in preparation for possible professional careers in a nurturing and affirming atmosphere.
For those who do not wish to pursue dance as a career, Hudson River Performing Arts Center utilizes the performing arts as a vehicle to increase self-esteem, creativity, fitness, mental and physical health, and coordination.
Hudson River Performing Arts Center summer camps foster confidence, communication skills and love of the arts that will be invaluable throughout the campers lives. Summer 2014 offers a one-week Summer Musical Theater Camp I for ages 11-17 and a one-week Musical Theater Camp II for ages 6-12 and a one-week Petite Camp III for ages 4-6. Campers will learn and rehearse dialogue through scene study and character development, as well as musical production numbers. Each camp session will culminate in a presentation for friends and family.
